ICS/OT Security Engineer

ICS/OT Engineer | Utilities | United Kingdom | Contract | IR35 Status TBC

We are seeking an experienced ICS/OT Cyber Security Engineer to support the security and resilience of critical water and utilities infrastructure. This role will focus on securing industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and operational technology (OT) environments against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls for ICS/OT networks, ensuring compliance with NIS2, IEC 62443, and UK water industry regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security audits across SCADA, PLC, and telemetry systems.
• Collaborate with IT and OT teams to implement network segmentation, secure remote access, and threat monitoring strategies.
• Lead incident response efforts, ensuring rapid detection, containment, and recovery from cyber threats.
• Work with external regulators (e.g., Ofwat, NCSC) and internal stakeholders to align security strategies with industry best practices.
• Support security awareness training for engineers and operational staff to enhance cybersecurity culture.
