Senior Data Engineer | Databricks | Azure | Remote | 6-Month Contract | Outside IR35

We’re working with one of our consultancy partners on a major data modernisation programme for a leading insurance organisation.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team building a unified Azure Databricks Lakehouse platform to improve data quality, governance, and analytics across underwriting, claims, and customer insight.

What you’ll do:

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks (PySpark) and Azure Data Factory
• Develop and optimise Delta Lake (Bronze/Silver/Gold) layers
• Implement Terraform, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to deliver clean, governed data

Essential:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Terraform
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake Gen2
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working within Insurance companies (desirable)

• Outside IR35
• Remote
• Rate: £500-£550
• 6- Month contract (Extentions likely)
