First Southwest.js meetup of 2024!

We can finally announce the first Southwest.js meetup of 2024!

We’ve once again lined up a new & exciting host venue, as Scott Logic have kindly offered to host us for the evening.

We’ll be sticking with the successful recipe of 2023, having two talks on the night, with lots of opportunity for interaction from you attendees!

This is a meetup for anyone who has an interest in JavaScript, whether you’ve just started learning, or you’re a certified JS veteran – so please ask any questions you may have following the talks. Last year we had some really engaging conversations off the back of some amazing talks, so keep it up, as that is what makes Southwest.js what it is!

There will also be some refreshments to get stuck into on the night 😋(provided by our sponsors).

And again to Scott Logic for hosting the evening – it’s an amazing space and an organisation who are really passionate about the Southwest tech scene & it’s sustainability (it’s just a short walk from Temple Meads!).

Here is a quick rundown of what to expect on the night;

• Feel free to arrive from 6:30pm
• There will be refreshments available all free of charge thanks to our sponsors. It’s a great opportunity to meet some new people and do a bit of networking!
• Around 7pm, we’ll do a quick welcome and will then begin the talks from the real specialists! (both with time allotted afterwards for questions & discussions)
• The evening will draw to a close around 9pm, when some people will head over to the Left Handed Giant, should you want to continue the evening!

We’ve had a few false dawns with getting the meetup back up and running in 2024, so we’re really excited to be back! We’re also close to announcing our next event in May, so look out for that one soon!

Our speakers give up their own personal time to prepare their talk & deliver it on the night, so please be respectful throughout by keeping any conversations to a minimum & refraining from being on your mobile phone
