JOB DESCRIPTION

I am recruiting for several Automation Testers to join our client. They are a leading consultancy who work at the heart of national security and help to support government departments with making critical decisions to keep the nation safe.

****Please note that due to the nature of the projects you will be involved in, You must already hold Active UKIC DV Clearance****

You'll be joining a awesome techie team of developers and testers and will need to be happy to work 4/5 days on-site at their Cheltenham office.

They follow the shift-left approach with a automation first mentality and supplementing it with manual and exploratory testing when needed to ensure top-quality delivery.

They also run a QA Guild where you'll have opportunities to collaborate with other testers, share knowledge, and participate in show and tells, blogs, and proof of concepts on new tools,

In this role, you'll join an agile delivery team, ensuring the implementation of automated testing throughout the CI/CD lifecycle for one of their National Security projects. You'll work with a range of technology and automation tools and frameworks and work closely with DevOps teams to drive quality and improvement across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver automation software testing efforts, ensuring early and continuous testing within agile frameworks.
  • Design and implement Automated Test Frameworks across UI & API using tools such as Selenium, Cypress.io, Webdriver.io, Playwright, and more.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed best practices, ensure continuous improvement, and promote a culture of quality.
  • Perform Non-Functional testing across security, performance, accessibility, and operational acceptance.
  • Contribute ideas and innovations to the wider QA team, improving testing frameworks and processes.

Their ideal people will be experienced automation testers (you must hold UKIC DV Clearance) and have a good track record of working with a range of automation tools (they are open to which ones you have worked on)

You'll be quality focused and able to inspire others in test best practice, and of course, be happy to go into the office.

Salaries vary from £55,000- £80,000 dependent on experience with some flex at the top end if required.
