Technical Programme Manager Manager – SC Cleared

We’re supporting a major government programme and are looking for an experienced Technical Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a complex technical infrastructure workstream.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background delivering large-scale infrastructure programmes using waterfall methodologies, who is comfortable working alongside technical architects and engineers to drive successful delivery from planning through to deployment.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating delivery across multiple stakeholders, including Enterprise Services, third-party suppliers and external partners, ensuring delivery plans remain realistic, achievable and aligned to programme objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a complex technical infrastructure workstream.

• Develop, own and maintain the workstream programme plan through to deployment.

• Work closely with architects, engineers and technical teams to translate technical discussions into clear delivery plans, milestones and dependencies.

• Coordinate delivery across Enterprise Services, third-party suppliers and external delivery partners.

• Challenge delivery assumptions, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure plans remain on track.

• Provide regular progress updates to programme leadership and key stakeholders.

Experience Required

• Proven experience delivering large, complex technical infrastructure programmes.

• Strong background delivering projects using waterfall methodologies.

• Previous experience within central government or highly regulated environments.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience working closely with technical architects, infrastructure teams and engineering functions.

• Active SC Clearance is essential.
