We’re working with a consultancy that has just secured a new project and is looking to bring in an experienced Technical Lead/Full-Stack Developer to support delivery from the outset. This is a hands-on role with a blend of technical leadership and active development, ideal for someone who enjoys setting standards while still being deep in the code.

The Role
You’ll play a key role in getting the project off the ground, owning initial technical and infrastructure setup, contributing to development, and providing light-touch leadership across the team. This is a delivery-focused environment where you’ll take on more complex tickets while helping to drive engineering best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead initial technical and infrastructure setup to enable development
• Contribute heavily to hands-on coding (c.80% of the role)
• Pick up and deliver complex development tickets
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality output
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other developers
• Set and maintain engineering standards and best practices
• Offer technical oversight (c.20% tech leadership)

Essential

• Strong experience with .NET (C#) and React
• Full-stack development background in modern web applications
• Solid experience with SQL Server
• Experience setting up environments and infrastructure for new projects
• Comfortable contributing to complex coding tasks and leading by example
• Experience with code reviews and mentoring developers

Desirable

• Previous experience working within consultancy environments
• Exposure to greenfield project delivery
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure

• Ideally, a day or two on site on a weekly basis, but flexibility around this.
