Compensation: £100,000 – £150,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We are working with a forward-thinking company operating at the forefront of financial innovation in Europe. They are looking to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager to strengthen their presence across the region. This position is ideal for a commercially savvy professional with experience in navigating complex financial services environments and a strong grasp of the evolving open banking landscape.
The successful individual will play a pivotal role in forging partnerships, securing new business, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive revenue and market growth.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Explore and pursue new commercial opportunities within the European financial ecosystem.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with institutional clients, regulators, industry bodies, and technology partners.
- Formulate and implement business growth strategies that align with company goals.
- Lead end-to-end sales processes, including proposal development, negotiations, and contract finalisation.
- Monitor market developments, analyse industry trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Deliver regular progress updates and performance analysis to internal stakeholders.
Essential Background & Competencies:
- A minimum of five years in business development, partnerships, or client-facing roles within fintech, consulting, or financial services.
- Track record of successfully promoting or selling sophisticated solutions, ideally to banks or regulatory organisations.
- Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to think strategically while also being hands-on in execution.
- Well-organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional European languages would be advantageous.
- Must be based within continental Europe and open to frequent travel across the region.
