We’re looking for experienced Backend Engineers to support the development and scaling of backend platforms powering a range of digital products and internal systems.
This is a hands-on contract role suited to senior engineers who enjoy technical ownership, improving system performance, and contributing to architectural decisions while remaining actively involved in delivery.

The Role

• Develop backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Build and enhance APIs and system integrations
• Improve scalability, reliability and overall platform performance
• Contribute to system design and technical decision-making
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams
• Provide technical guidance where required

Technology Environment

• Node.js
• TypeScript / JavaScript
• APIs and microservices
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Distributed backend systems

Experience Required

• Strong commercial backend engineering experience
• Production experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience working on scalable backend platforms
• API and integration-focused development background
• Exposure to system design or technical leadership responsibilities

Nice to Have

• CRM or HubSpot integration experience
• DevOps or cloud infrastructure awareness
• Experience within high-scale or consumer-facing platforms

Contract Details

• Outside IR35 engagement
• £500-£525 per day
• Initial 6-month contract with extension potential
• Remote working across UK or Europe
• Two-stage interview process
