Migration Test and Go-live Lead Salesforce
(Contract Position – Large-scale Salesforce Migration Programme)
We are seeking a skilled Migration Test and Go-live Lead to oversee all testing activities for a major Salesforce migration programme for a leading UK Charity, transitioning from a legacy Siebel platform. This pivotal role will involve defining and executing the end-to-end testing and go-live strategy, coordinating across multiple internal teams and external suppliers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and a smooth deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the overall test and go-live strategy for the migration programme.
- Ensure high-quality and efficient test execution, embedding testing seamlessly within the wider programme lifecycle.
- Lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams, setting a high-performance culture and acting as a role model.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to ensure test activities are integrated, aligned, and dependencies are well-managed.
- Communicate test outcomes effectively to stakeholders and facilitate issue resolution.
- Embed best practices for equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout all activities.
- Ensure all testing aligns with relevant governance, compliance, and data protection standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in shaping and delivering test strategies for large-scale data migrations and enterprise system implementations.
- Demonstrated expertise in defining go-live processes and planning, including resourcing and risk mitigation.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce platforms, particularly around complex integrations and enterprise architecture.
- Track record of managing concurrent testing phases across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Experience with test automation, incorporating it pragmatically into broader strategies.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to build productive relationships across functions, locations, and supplier teams.
- Familiarity with information security principles and regulatory frameworks.
Key Deliverables
- Test Strategy Development: Define and implement robust test strategies and frameworks aligned with programme goals and quality standards.
- Test Planning and Execution: Develop schedules, scenarios, and resource plans to ensure effective test coverage and timely execution.
- Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing test team, driving standards and fostering continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all test-related activities, ensuring clear and timely communication with project leadership and delivery teams.
- Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve conflicts arising from simultaneous testing activities.
- Resource and Dependency Management: Identify key resources and dependencies needed for testing and go-live phases.
- Outcome Ownership: Define and manage clear Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for testing and go-live success.
