Senior Programme Manager – Transformation (Contract)
£750-£850 per day | Inside IR35 | Immediate Start

We’re supporting a major transformation programme and are looking for a very senior, delivery-focused Programme Manager to take ownership of shaping and driving a complex change initiative.

This programme spans two key workstreams:
* A known transformation – addressing clearly identified issues
* An emerging transformation – with Business Analysts currently gathering requirements

The organisation already has strong Defence IT expertise in place. What’s needed now is strategic programme leadership to turn insight into structured, executable delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning and structuring end-to-end transformation delivery

• Translating BA outputs into a clear, phased delivery roadmap

• Building robust business cases, plans, and governance frameworks

• Leading programme-level planning across phasing, cost, and resourcing

• Aligning newly onboarded contractors into a coherent transformation plan

• Putting strong controls around timing, dependencies, and outcomes

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programmes

• Strong background in programme governance, planning, and business case development

• Able to operate at both strategic and hands-on delivery level

• Confident working with ambiguity and shaping delivery from early-stage requirements

• Experience in complex or regulated environments (Defence / public sector a plus)

Contract details:

• Rate: £750-£850 per day

• Contract: Initial 12 month engagement with extension likely

• Start: ASAP

• Level: Very senior / transformation-led
