PostgreSQL SME

Outside IR35 | Remote based | Rate DOE | £450 – £500 ~

We are currently seeking an experienced PostgreSQL SME to support a major public sector data and digital programme. This is a hands-on contract role for a strong PostgreSQL specialist with experience supporting complex, enterprise-scale environments.

Role:

• Act as the PostgreSQL technical SME across critical platforms
• Support, optimise, and maintain production database environments
• Resolve complex incidents and performance issues
• Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams
• Contribute to platform resilience, security, and automation

Requirements:

• Strong PostgreSQL administration and engineering experience
• Performance tuning, optimisation, and troubleshooting
• High availability, replication, backup, and recovery
• Linux administration and scripting skills
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
• Automation and DevOps tooling experience desirable
• Ability to work within secure, highly regulated environments
