AWS Network Architect

£450 per day | Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced AWS Network Architect to support a major cloud and application integration programme. This role requires a strong blend of cloud networking expertise, infrastructure knowledge, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a particular focus on enabling application teams to integrate their platforms with external applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, secure AWS network architectures.
• Work closely with application teams to facilitate integration with external systems and services.
• Provide technical leadership across networking and cloud infrastructure initiatives.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
• Ensure security is embedded throughout network and infrastructure designs.
• Engage with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert-level experience in Network Architecture, ideally within AWS cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of AWS Networking Services, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPNs, and related technologies.
• Proven experience across LAN and WAN networking.
• Strong background in application, integration, and infrastructure networking.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• Experience implementing automation within cloud infrastructure environments.
• Security-first approach to architecture and solution design.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and architectural guidance.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with AWS VPC Lattice.
• Broader cloud architecture and transformation experience.
