I’m recruiting a manual Software Tester/ QA Test Engineer to join my client. This is a fully remote role (you must be UK based).

You’ll be a part of a super collaborative engineering team supporting software for over 6,000 events a year , from large-scale conferences and exhibitions to festivals and corporate events.

You’ll be part of an engineering team of 15, including 11 developers, one DevOps engineer, a PM, and a test team of 3 working across both web and mobile platforms. While this is primarily a manual testing role, the team has recently introduced Cypress to automate some regression tests, and there’s definitely appetite to build on that foundation , so there’s plenty of scope if you’re interested in developing your automation skills.

You’ll play a key role in championing quality across development and ensuring the platform continues to run smoothly and spotting bugs before users do. Your day to day will include reviewing and analysing user stories, requirements, and workflows to create effective test plans and scripts. You’ll design and execute, manual tests and carry out exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues before they reach production. As part of your role, you’ll perform comprehensive testing across all levels, including static, system, integration and regression, testing.
