SR2 is partnering with a long-established, retail business with a strong digital and operational footprint. We’re hiring an IT Business Analyst to act as the link between the business and IT-turning ideas into clear requirements, supporting delivery through testing, and ensuring smooth transition into BAU.

Location & working pattern

• Office-based in Hertfordshire with some remote working

• Permanent, 37.5 hours/week

• Occasional out-of-hours support (e.g., deployments)

What you’ll be doing

• Owning the end-to-end requirements phase for IT change requests and projects

• Running requirements activities: workshops, stakeholder interviews, group sessions, observation

• Documenting current state processes and shaping future state (system + people change)

• Translating business needs into clear technical requirements (performance, environment, existing systems)

• Producing delivery documentation: process maps, data flows, user stories, diagrams, designs, training materials

• Defining and executing test scripts, supporting UAT, and managing defects through to sign-off

• Identifying risks, issues and dependencies early; supporting governance and planning (and stepping in when there’s no PM)

• Working with suppliers on selection, contract review, and delivery alignment

• Supporting business case development and post-implementation reviews

• Ensuring technical/architectural mapping stays up to date following change

What we’re looking for

• Strong BA capability across requirements engineering and analysis techniques

• Confidence with process modelling: user stories, process maps, data flows/diagrams, customer journeys

• Solid experience across test delivery (acceptance criteria, scripts, execution, UAT support)

• Comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels (including senior leadership)

• Organised, delivery-focused, able to manage multiple workstreams concurrently

• Experience working with vendors/suppliers and internal teams to deliver outcomes

Nice to have

• BCS Diploma in Business Analysis

• Awareness of Agile / Waterfall / PRINCE2

• Exposure to system design, process improvement, change planning/implementation
