Contract AI Full Stack Engineer

£450/day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote | August Start

We’re supporting a growing AI business working across intelligent document processing, LLMs and Vision LLMs. With several projects developing, they’re looking for an experienced AI Full Stack Engineer who can own delivery from concept through to production.

This role suits someone who is comfortable choosing the right technology for the problem rather than sticking to one language, framework or cloud provider.

What you’ll be doing

• Building AI-powered products using LLMs and Vision LLMs
• Translating client problems into scalable technical solutions
• Owning architecture, implementation and deployment
• Building customer-facing applications using Python and React
• Switching between languages and technologies based on best practice and use case
• Using Claude Code and Codex as a core part of the engineering workflow
• Reviewing, testing and improving AI-generated code
• Working directly with clients where required

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial experience with Python and React
• Hands-on experience using Claude Code, Codex or similar tools
• A genuinely full stack, language-agnostic engineering mindset
• Strong architecture and production deployment experience
• Excellent testing, maintainability and software engineering fundamentals
• Confident translating business problems into technical solutions
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership

Nice to have

• Intelligent document processing or Vision LLM experience
• Consultancy or customer-facing delivery experience
• Startup or early-stage business experience

The contract

• £450 per day
• Outside IR35

• Initial contract with extension potential
