Fullstack Developer (Nodejs & React)

SR2 are recruiting for a Fullstack Software Developer to design, develop, and optimise our client’s applications, APIs, and data architectures. You’ll work across the stack, improving performance, scalability, and deployment efficiency. This is a great opportunity to work on a long-term government contract via a specialised public sector consultancy.

Experience required: 

  • Strong JavaScript SPA experience (React preferred)
  • Backend expertise with Node.js
  • Microservices & distributed systems (Kafka preferred).
  • Database management (Postgres ideal, relational & document-based).
  • CI/CD best practices (Git, automated testing, pipelines).
  • Containerisation deployments (Docker or Kubernetes).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications, APIs, and reusable client-side layers.
  • Work on backend services, data architectures, and frontend web applications.
  • Design and optimise database schemas and data storage solutions.
  • Enhance Kafka processing for simulation outputs.
  • Set up and manage project pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Review and improve engineering work to ensure high-quality code.

Overview:

  • Inside IR35 
  • Hybrid (1-2 days a week onsite in London) 
  • Government client via a consultancy 
  • £450 – £600 a day 
  • 6 month rolling contracts 
  • Long term piece of work
