Data Operations and Analysis Specialist

We’re recruiting a Data Specialist to join a purpose-driven organisation operating in the environmental compliance and sustainability space. This role supports the accurate collection, cleansing, analysis, and submission of client data to a UK regulatory body, helping businesses meet their environmental reporting obligations.

The Role

You’ll work closely with client organisations to gather data, validate, prepare, cleanse and then analyse it, and prepare compliant submissions in line with regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role with Excel at its core, suited to someone who is methodical, analytical, and comfortable working with regulated datasets.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, collate, and validate data from a portfolio of business clients
• Analyse datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance
• Prepare and submit formal data returns to the relevant UK environmental regulator
• Maintain clear data trails and supporting documentation for audit purposes
• Work with internal teams to resolve data queries and inconsistencies
• Support continuous improvement of data processes and reporting methods

Essential

• Strong, hands-on Excel experience (including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation)
• Proven experience working with structured or high-volume datasets
• Excellent attention to detail and data quality mindset
• Confident communicating with clients to gather and clarify data
• Ability to manage deadlines aligned to regulatory submission cycles

Desirable

• Experience with Power BI for reporting or insight generation
• Exposure to Power Query or data transformation tooling
• Experience working with externally governed or regulated data

The Details

• Rate: £150 – 200 DOE
• IR35 status: Inside
• Start date: early February 2026
• End date: end of April 2026
• Potential to extend
• Bristol based: 80% onsite, 20% home working
