I’m working with an established AI consultancy that is scaling its UK sales function. With a strong track record in defence, healthcare/NHS, automotive, telecoms, and the public sector, they are known for applying computer vision, machine learning, synthetic data, and cloud solutions to solve complex, real-world business problems.
As Senior Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of expanding their UK client base to shape the go-to-market strategy and win new business in regulated industries.
What you will be doing
- Leading on new business development, building a pipeline across healthcare, public sector, and industrial markets.
- Developing go-to-market strategy where client activity is low, opening doors in new verticals.
- Driving lead generation through tools like Sales Navigator, events, and partner channels.
- Managing relationships with executives and senior stakeholders across enterprise and government.
- Working closely with internal technical teams to scope and deliver tailored AI solutions.
- Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with the Head of Sales to refine UK growth plans.
What you will need
- 5 years of complex solution sales experience, ideally in AI, cloud, or advanced data/analytics.
- A proven ability to open new markets and build revenue where activity is low.
- Strong track record of winning six and seven-figure deals in regulated industries.
- Consultative approach, able to engage at C-level and translate technical AI solutions into business value.
- Commercial creativity – balancing strategy with hands-on lead generation and deal execution.
- The resilience and drive to thrive in a scaling environment where you will be shaping process as much as delivering results.
