Senior Data Scientist – SC Cleared
We’re hiring a Senior Data Scientist to support a government department on a secure AWS-hosted data warehouse project. You’ll work closely with data engineers and analysts to deliver secure, high-quality data solutions, applying best practices in data anonymisation, governance, and matching. The role requires strong SQL and Python or R skills, with experience in AWS tools such as Redshift and Glue being advantageous.
Due to the nature of the role, active SC clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement data anonymisation techniques to minimise disclosure risk
• Assist with development and maintenance of AWS-based data pipelines
• Perform complex SQL queries and support data integrity checks
• Develop data matching algorithms and apply governance principles
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to define data requirements
• Support Agile project delivery and contribute to process design and documentation

Key Skills & Experience:

• Advanced SQL and proficiency in Python or R
• Experience with AWS Redshift, Glue, and data pipelines
• Strong understanding of data governance, anonymisation, and disclosure risk
• Previous experience in secure environments and use of GitLab
