Data Architect – Data Catalogue – SC Cleared 
SR2 is supporting a government department in establishing a Data Office. We’re seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the implementation of an enterprise-wide data catalogue using Informatica EDC and Axon. This role is pivotal in driving metadata visibility, governance, and compliance across a high-impact government environment. 
Due to the nature of the role active SC clearance is required. 
Key Responsibilities 

• Deliver and scale a data catalogue aligned to strategic data governance objectives 

• Define metadata models, lineage, glossaries, and taxonomy frameworks 

• Integrate tools with diverse source systems, including legacy platforms 

• Act as a key consulting lead, shaping solutions in a stakeholder-rich, politically sensitive setting 

• Champion adoption across technical and policy teams 

• Ensure alignment to standards such as DAMA, DCAM, TOGAF, GDPR, and FOI 

• Work in agile, blended teams with civil servants and delivery partners 

Requirements 

• 5 years in data architecture with a strong consulting mindset 

• Proven experience with Informatica EDC & Axon in large-scale environments 

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills 

• Ability to translate technical architecture into accessible business value 

• Confident working with data stewards, governance leads, and executive sponsors 

• Comfortable facilitating onboarding, training, and strategic discussions
