Forward Deployed Engineer

The role

We are looking for Forward Deployed Engineers for a global consultancy running a growing book of Microsoft-centred transformation programmes across financial services and enterprise clients.

This is a hands-on, embedded engineering role, not a scoping or pre-sales seat. You will sit inside client teams and build. Expect to take a real problem from a whiteboard through to something running in production on the customer’s own environment, working shoulder to shoulder with their people rather than handing a deck over the fence.

Because this is an ongoing pipeline rather than a single vacancy, we are speaking with strong FDEs across the senior-to-principal range now, ahead of specific mobilisations.

What you will actually do

• Embed on client site and own delivery of bespoke solutions end to end, from design through to production
• Build across a blend of Azure data and AI (Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Fabric, Synapse, ML engineering) and the Power Platform and Dynamics stack (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Dynamics 365)
• Bring core Azure engineering where the build demands it (.NET / C#, Azure DevOps, containers, infrastructure as code)
• Translate ambiguous business problems into working software at pace, and carry client stakeholders with you as you go
• Set the technical standard on the ground, and at principal level, direct the approach across other engineers on the programme

What we are looking for

• A genuine builder who is happiest hands-on-keyboard and thrives embedded in a client environment
• Real depth across Azure data/AI and Power Platform/Dynamics, with core Azure engineering as a strong secondary
• A track record of shipping bespoke solutions on the customer’s own stack, not just configuring platforms
• The presence to operate credibly client-side at a Big Four standard, from senior delivery through to principal-level technical leadership
• Full UK right to work with no sponsorship required

Seniority and rate

We are building a bench spanning senior through to principal FDEs to meet varied and repeat demand. Day rate is dependent on level and is available on application.

UK-wide and hybrid. You will travel to client sites as individual programmes require, so flexibility on location matters more than proximity to any one city.
