Lead Microsoft AI Automation Engineer | £75,000 – £85,000 | Hybrid Swindon or London

I’m looking for an exceptional Lead Microsoft AI Engineer to shape and deliver the next generation of automation within a large, regulated enterprise.

You’ll combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, designing and building production-grade AI agents, automation solutions, and reusable engineering patterns that fundamentally transform how the business operates.

🔅Designing and delivering enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Foundry and Azure AI technologies;
🔅Building intelligent automation using Power Automate, AI Builder and the wider Microsoft Power Platform;
🔅Creating multi-agent workflows, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and AI assisted business processes;
🔅Leading, coaching and developing a high performing engineering team.
Driving engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, observability and best practice; and
🔅Evaluating emerging AI technologies and helping shape the organisation’s future automation strategy.

You’ll bring:

🔅Proven experience building and deploying agentic AI solutions in production.
🔅Deep expertise across Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI, Power Automate and AI Builder.
🔅Strong knowledge of LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, RAG architectures and AI governance.
🔅A solid software engineering background, ideally with .NET and API integration experience.
🔅Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure OpenAI, Enate or similar orchestration platforms would be advantageous.
