Delivery Manager – SC Cleared – UCD – Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to support a UCD team within a government department. The role focuses on coordinating and enabling delivery across multiple UCD initiatives, primarily within Discovery and Alpha phases.

You will help shape strong delivery practices, ensure visibility of UCD workstreams, and support effective collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, including Product, Architecture, Business Design, and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage UCD delivery, ensuring Discovery and Alpha activities align with governance processes.
• Maintain delivery plans, progress tracking, risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring appropriate artefacts and documentation are maintained.
• Support multidisciplinary planning, working closely with UCD specialists, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Architects, Delivery Managers and change teams.
• Facilitate impact assessments and dependency mapping, ensuring integration with Atlas, DOD and related product teams is understood and sequenced.
• Act as a front door for UCD demand, helping triage, categorise and shape new requests and supporting the establishment of a clear intake process.
• Promote user-centred and iterative delivery practices, supporting teams in adopting consistent UCD ways of working.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Delivery Manager or Project Manager within digital programmes.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supporting User-Centred Design teams (User Research, Service Design, Interaction Design).
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-team coordination skills.
• Experience managing delivery plans, risks, issues and dependencies.
