AWS Solution Architect (Databricks)<\/h3>\n

Are you an experienced AWS Solution Architect with a strong background in modern data platforms, cloud-native architecture and Databricks? We’re supporting a major programme that is modernising and transforming large-scale data processing capabilities and are looking for a hands-on architect who can bridge strategy, design and delivery.<\/p>\n

The Role<\/h3>\n

This position will play a key role in shaping and delivering a cloud-based data platform built around AWS and Databricks. You’ll work across architecture, engineering and stakeholder teams to define target-state solutions, modernise existing data services and establish scalable deployment patterns.<\/p>\n

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at both the architectural and technical implementation layers, helping to guide migration activity while remaining hands-on with infrastructure, automation and platform delivery.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Design scalable data processing solutions using AWS, Databricks and associated cloud services.<\/li>\n
  • Lead the transition of existing data workloads and integrations onto a modern cloud-native platform.<\/li>\n
  • Define platform standards covering security, networking, governance, workspace configuration and deployment approaches.<\/li>\n
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Databricks asset deployment frameworks.<\/li>\n
  • Build and enhance CI\/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and modern DevOps practices.<\/li>\n
  • Configure, deploy and manage services across AWS and Databricks environments.<\/li>\n
  • Integrate new platform capabilities with existing enterprise applications and data services.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand current-state architectures and migration priorities.<\/li>\n
  • Provide technical leadership around streaming and batch processing, orchestration, observability, data quality and operational resilience.<\/li>\n
  • Produce high-quality architecture documentation, implementation roadmaps and operational guidance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Essential<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Strong experience designing and delivering solutions within AWS cloud environments.<\/li>\n
    • Proven expertise with Databricks architecture, implementation and operational management.<\/li>\n
    • Experience building data platforms, pipelines and integration services at scale.<\/li>\n
    • Hands-on Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning and environment management.<\/li>\n
    • Strong CI\/CD knowledge, including GitHub Actions.<\/li>\n
    • Understanding of modern data architecture principles including governance, security and observability.<\/li>\n
    • Experience working across both solution design and technical delivery.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.<\/li>\n
    • Active SC Clearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Desirable<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Experience migrating legacy or on-premise data platforms into cloud-native environments.<\/li>\n
      • Knowledge of streaming technologies and event-driven architectures.<\/li>\n
      • Experience working within large, complex transformation programmes.<\/li>\n
      • Exposure to master data management or enterprise data matching solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Contract:<\/strong> 6 Months Initial Contract + extensions<\/li>\n
        • IR35 Status:<\/strong> Inside IR35<\/li>\n
        • Rate:<\/strong> \u00a3550-600p\/d<\/li>\n
        • Location:<\/strong> Primarily Remote with occasional travel to client sites as required<\/li>\n
        • Clearance:<\/strong> Active SC Clearance Required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
