Oracle Developer | PL\/SQL <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Role<\/h3>\n

We’re supporting a major digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Oracle PL\/SQL Developer to join a high-performing technical team. This role will focus on the development, optimisation and maintenance of complex database solutions within a large-scale, cloud-hosted environment.<\/p>\n

Working as part of an established development and testing function, you’ll play a key role in designing and maintaining Oracle database components, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting the delivery of critical services across a multi-supplier landscape.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Design, develop and maintain complex Oracle PL\/SQL code, packages, functions and stored procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Build and manage database change deployments using Liquibase.<\/li>\n
  • Support the operation and optimisation of Oracle RDBMS environments hosted on AWS infrastructure.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate closely with developers, testers and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.<\/li>\n
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues across development and test environments.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to database design, performance tuning and ongoing system improvements.<\/li>\n
  • Support release and deployment activities across multiple environments.<\/li>\n
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide expertise on Oracle database best practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Essential<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Strong commercial experience developing and maintaining complex Oracle PL\/SQL solutions.<\/li>\n
    • Proven ability to write, optimise and support sophisticated stored procedures, packages and database objects.<\/li>\n
    • Hands-on experience with Liquibase for database version control and deployments.<\/li>\n
    • Deep understanding of Oracle RDBMS architecture and administration principles.<\/li>\n
    • Experience working with Oracle databases hosted within AWS or other cloud infrastructure environments.<\/li>\n
    • Strong problem-solving, debugging and technical troubleshooting skills.<\/li>\n
    • Experience working within large, complex delivery programmes involving multiple suppliers and stakeholders.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work effectively within agile development and testing teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Desirable<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Experience using JIRA and Confluence.<\/li>\n
      • Public sector project experience.<\/li>\n
      • Experience working within Linux development environments.<\/li>\n
      • Exposure to database performance tuning and optimisation activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The Details<\/h3>\n
          \n
        • Contract:<\/strong> Initial 6 months + extensions<\/li>\n
        • IR35 Status:<\/strong> Inside IR35<\/li>\n
        • Rate:<\/strong> \u00a3500-\u00a3550 per day<\/li>\n
        • Location:<\/strong> Predominantly remote with occasional travel if required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
