Role requirements
- Principal Consultant –Outside IR35-£550-600 p/day
- Bristol and home based
- SC minimum
- 6 month contract – Part time – 3 days per week.
Activity
- Work within a change and operating model development team to explore the capability gap between the current ways of working and the future operating model
- Primary lead for identification of human capability (i.e. staff skillset and competency) shortfalls and determination of interventions to close identified gaps
- Activities and products, where appropriate, should be JSP822 compliant – but with flexibility in the breadth (for example the number of skillsets) and depth (for example the number of roles) analysed
- Initial scoping work should be used to determine the approach and agree the parameters for the analysis

- Role Analysis and Role Performance Statements – based on cohorts (as opposed to individual posts) and covering high priority skillsets

- Training Options Analysis

Skills – essential
- Familiarity with JSP822 and Training Needs Analysis (TNA) delivery
- Familiarity with Defence context and procurement processes
- Understanding of Pan Defence Skills Framework (PDSF)
- Ability to be flexible in the application of JSP 822 processes – implement a JSP 822 compliant but ‘light touch’ approach
- Ability to work flexibly and within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work within minimal oversight
Skills – desirable
- Experience of the submarine domain / working with the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA)
- Experience of working within spares and equipment management
